Be Still My Heart | Newborn

2013 has proved to be the year of the baby for Light Up My Life Photography.  I've photographed so many beautiful families so far this year but this one touched my heart in a way that I can't even put into words.  My nephew, Christopher, came into this world on February 6th with a head full of hair and a family full of love.  He was amazing on the day of his session with Aunt Jenny as he was observed by mom, dad, Poppy and Mom Mom.

Shay & Keegan | Newborn Twins | Philadelphia & South Jersey Newborn Photographer

Sometimes photographing newborn babies can be a bit of a challenge, yet it is one that I'm always up for.  Shay and Keegan were the first twin newborn babies that I had photographed and I was a little nervous about how it was going to go down.  So many factors come into play with feedings, diaper changes, spit-up accidents and sleep.  I just wasn't sure what to expect with two babies.

 Keegan was chill and content from the minute he was placed into my arms.  It took Shay a little bit of time to get into our session, but after a short while, she fell asleep with her brother.  We had beautiful light to work with and everything turned out just lovely.  Enjoy!

I had been looking forward to meeting this little cutie since I met her mom and dad for their maternity session. Sweet little Erin was born on December 18th and was the best Christmas present her parents could have asked for.

My husband and I are lucky to call Angela & Matt our friends. They're an amazingly sweet couple and we always have a blast whenever we spend time together. Those days are few and far between lately because life gets in the way - children, work, obligations, but whenever we are together, it's just perfect!

Their second daughter, Juliette, was 8 days old when I drove to their house with my boys in tow for her newborn session. Big sister, Elise was there to play with my little guys while I had the chance to snuggle with Jules a little bit before taking her outside into the warm air for her newborn portraits.

She's just perfect. Congratulations, Angela & Matt!

Philadelphia Newborn | Brayden

I began my weekend with the G Family who had welcomed their newest member, Bryaden, just 11 days prior. Brayden is one lucky little guy because he has a big brother, Dennis, who absolutely adores him. Dennis proudly showed off his brother to me in between our disucssions about Play Doh and Dora the Explorer. I had a fantastic time with the G Family and can't wait to see this little guy grow!

I hope that everyone had a nice holiday weekend! Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing newborn Katie at 10 days old.  Just in time for Easter.  I plan to show the rest of her session shortly, but couldn't resist sharing a couple of her adorable bunny shots!
